Your garden should be designed as a space for what you like to do best – whether it be relax, stay active or entertain. And with spring comes the opportunity to renew your garden for the sunnier season, so why not treat it to a spring transformation with these easy ideas that will leave your space bright, brilliant and ready for whatever you want to do in it!

Build

Retaining walls, fencing, water features, decking, statues, or gazebos – now is the time to add in any structures you have been putting off. And it doesn’t have to be hard work. You can get someone else to come in and build or install your features. Building items into your garden can create the space you are after, whether it be a decked area for entertaining, a pool side cabana, or a simple water feature to set the mood.

Plant

It wouldn’t be a garden transformation without plants. Depending on what feeling you want to create in your garden you can add flowers and bright plants for bursts of colour, greenery to add texture or a luscious feel, or try potted plants to add life to open spaces. Now is also a great time to consider adding turf (real or fake) to break up concrete, planted or mulched areas.

Water

Water is the major life source that will ensure your renewed garden stays looking lush and green. Unless you have the time to go outside every day and water your new plants by hand, we suggest you get a professional to look at your irrigation needs. It can not only save you time, but also precious water and money.

Lights

When the sun sets on a lovely sunny day set the mood and create ambience with the right garden lighting. From illuminating trees or plants from below, to in-set lighting within water features, or lighting for your garden pathways – make sure you can see where you’re going and also enjoy your newly transformed garden at any time of night! Transforming your garden doesn’t have to be a difficult task, considering these four elements will have any space looking and feeling like new just in time for spring.
